Boracay Island a quick hop from Manila Philippines

After your international flight to the Philippine Islands, take a 15 minute taxi ride to the domestic airport, board a SEAIR Dornier 328 for a quick 35 minute flight to Boracay via Caticlan airport or a 40 minute flight on Philippine Airlines to Kalibo airport. If you choose the Caticlan route you will then take a 5 minute tricycle ride from the airport at Caticlan to the jetty port, if you choose the Kalibo route you will take a scenic trip to Boracay across Panay Island, about 1.5 hour drive in an air-conditioned van or bus to the jetty port at Caticlan and board a small banca boat for a 15 to 30 minute ride to the Island of Boracay. Once on Boracay everything is just so easy it’s just relax, relax with relaxation on top.
 

 

International Philippines Flights
Flights to the Philippines arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from most international airports around the world. International airline carriers such as American Airlines, Northwest, EVA Air, etc. Philippine Airlines flights connect with flights to Kalibo airport in the same terminal. Passengers with Other international airlines will need to transfer to the domestic terminal (15 minutes by taxi) before embarking on a flight with SEAIR or Asian Spirit to Caticlan. These flights take from 35 minutes to one hour. When arranging your international flights to the Philippines be mindful that if you land after 3pm, you will need to stay in manila over night. You can get an early morning flight to Boracay leaving as early as 5:45 am the next day. There are many excellent Manila hotels close to the airport that offer pick-up and delivery service, so stay and relax overnight and get a get a fresh start the next morning.

Travel Manila to Boracay
There are various ways to travel to Boracay but by air is, by far the best and quickest way. Other ways include, by sea using MBRS Shipping Lines. While this is much cheaper, it takes 10-12 hours. Flights to Boracay from Manila Domestic Airport are many and shared by a few airlines. The flight to Boracay Island takes 35 to 45 minutes and will fly to Caticlan or Kalibo airports. It is also possible to travel by ship from Manila port (one hour from international airport) to Caticlan. This takes 10-12 hours by ship with MBRS Shipping Lines.

Caticlan to Boracay
Once out of the airport at Caticlan, you will need to take a short tricycle ride (5minutes) to the jetty port. This is the place to catch the boat for Boracay. This boat trip takes 20 minutes. Caticlan is the most convenient airport to use for destination Boracay. Although in the high season flights can get very booked up.

Kalibo Airport to Boracay
Kalibo airport is around a 1 hour drive from Caticlan; there is an air-conditioned coach by Southwest that can take you from Kalibo airport to Caticlan. It is a lovely and very scenic journey through this Aklan province, along the coastal roads. Many enjoy this chance to take in the landscape of Panay Island.

On Boracay Island Philippines
Getting around on Boracay is really very simple with the Cohiba Villas mini bus that can take you to any destination on the island. There is also a bus service on this lovely tropical island of Boracay, as well as numerous tricycles, petty cabs and singles (motorbikes).

The local transport on Boracay is inexpensive and convenient, and also a lot of fun.
